Every Child Deserves a Home

Welcome to the Freedom Home, a beacon of hope and support for Idaho’s foster youth in need of placement. The facility has gone through a complete transformation, managed with dedication by our incredible volunteer Mary from the Freedom Youth Foundation, provides a nurturing environment with 16 bedrooms for those who lack placement.

The Freedom Home stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration. Countless companies have joined forces to make this project a reality, demonstrating an outpouring of generosity that has exceeded all expectations. Adam Roe Painting, with a team of 27 members, worked tirelessly to paint the entire facility in just one day, utilizing donated paint from Sherwin Williams. Canyon Electric then illuminated the space with over 150 canned lights, ensuring a bright and welcoming atmosphere for our residents. Mural experts have lent their talents to adorn the walls with motivational and uplifting images, creating a space that fosters positivity and inspiration. Wash Worx contributed their services, ensuring the property shines with cleanliness and pride.

Through the collective efforts of donors and supporters, we have been able to furnish several rooms within the facility. Three rooms stand out for their special purpose and dedication to providing comfort and empowerment to our residents.

Firstly, there’s Mary’s Haven, also known as the sensory room—a haven of tranquility equipped with play sets, music, sensory items, swings, and more, designed to soothe and engage the youth. Next is The Freedom Den, a versatile space serving as both a school and game room, furnished with TVs, gaming consoles, books, and other amenities to foster learning and recreation. Lastly, Parker’s Closet embodies our commitment to welcoming new placements with warmth and dignity. Through this critical program, each new arrival receives a welcome bag, a personal note, and the opportunity to select new clothes, a teddy bear, a blanket, and a pillowcase of their choice. This initiative aims to provide a comforting and empowering first experience for children entering the foster system during emergency situations, allowing them the ability to make choices of their own.

At the Freedom Home, we believe that every child deserves a safe and supportive environment to thrive. Through our collaborative efforts and dedication, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Idaho’s foster youth, one room, one smile, and one empowered decision at a time. Join us in our mission to build brighter futures and nurture the potential of every child who walks through our doors.
