Provide Hope to a Foster Child

Founded in 2011

With a vision

At Freedom Youth Foundation (FYF), our mission is to empower foster youth by providing them with the tools, skills, and support they need to build successful futures.

Founded from the inspiration of a peace camp in Novi Sad, Serbia, FYF was established in November 2011 with a vision to create lasting change in the lives of young people. Our multifaceted approach includes sports clinics, financial literacy education, mentorship, and employment training, all aimed at fostering personal and professional growth.

We harness the universal language of athletics to teach essential life skills such as accountability, leadership, and teamwork. Our programs are designed to engage and inspire youth, leveraging the power of sports as a cost-effective and impactful tool for development.

Financial literacy and employment training are critical components of our mission. We prepare foster youth for the crucial transition to independence by equipping them with knowledge about personal finance and providing support through resume writing assistance and mock interviews to secure job placements.

At FYF, we are dedicated to not only preparing foster youth for the future but ensuring they thrive. We are committed to offering hope and opportunity where it’s needed most, making a significant impact through our comprehensive programs and initiatives.

Programs

Sports Clinics

We are dedicated to empowering foster youth through sports by offering free clinics, complete with lunch, for the kids and their siblings. Each event costs an average of $250, allowing us to provide a fun and enriching experience for these deserving children

Financial Literacy

Our mission is to empower the next generation to achieve financial freedom. We offer financial education and mentorship opportunities to youth over 15 years old, to help them build a strong foundation for their future

Employment Alliance

Our employment alliance is designed to support young people who have demonstrated their commitment to personal and athletic development. To be eligible, applicants must attend our sports clinics, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, complete our financial literacy program, and submit a completed application and essay

Volunteer Roles

Event Leaders

Join us in creating a positive impact in your community by becoming an event leader. As the head of the event, you will oversee all aspects of the clinic, from directing drills to managing the flow of activities to leading a fun scrimmage at the end

Assistant Coach

Make a difference in the lives of foster youth by volunteering as a station leader and assistant coach for one of our sports clinics. In this role, you will help inspire and motivate the kids, organize them at designated stations, and provide guidance and encouragement throughout the event

Role Player

If you're passionate about making a positive impact on foster youth and are eager to volunteer, we have the perfect role for you. Our events require support in various areas, including organization and interaction with younger participants during the clinic. No prior sports experience is necessary, just a willingness to inspire and encourage the youth
