DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Freedom Youth Foundation\, where we empower foster\, kinship\, and adopted youth through sports and transformative experiences!\n\n\nThis free Jiu Jitsu day is for foster\, kinship and adopted youth and their siblings in the Treasure Valley! Our aim is to provide an opportunity for local foster youth to develop their athletic skills\, as well as important life skills such as communication\, teamwork\, and accountability. \n  \nImportant Event Details:\n\nArrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes before the event starts to ensure a smooth check-in.\nNotification of Cancellations: If you or your child cannot attend\, let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust food orders and allocate our resources effectively.\nParental Presence: Foster parents and guardians are not required to stay during the event. While we encourage your presence to support your child\, we trust your judgment on whether to stay.\n\n  \nEvent Information:\n\nWho: Open to foster\, kinship and adopted youth aged 5-23 and their siblings.\nWhat: Participants will engage in various activities and games under the mentorship of dedicated volunteers.\nAt the end of the day\, four participants will be honored with trophies recognizing their sportsmanship\, leadership\, inspiration\, and excellence.\n\n  \nWhat to Bring:\n\nComfortable\, athletic clothing and shoes.\nA water bottle for hydration.\nA positive attitude and readiness to have fun!\n\n  \nFAQs:\n\nWhat ages can participate? Youth ages 5-23 are welcome.\nWhat is the purpose of the event? To provide foster youth and their siblings with opportunities to develop athletic skills\, confidence\, and self-esteem.\nWho can attend? The event is open to all foster\, kindship and adopted youth and their siblings.\nHow long is the event? The clinic usually lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes\, with lunch provided at the end.\nIs the event free? Yes\, there is no cost to attend.\nWhat should participants bring? Athletic clothing\, shoes\, and a water bottle.\nWill food and drinks be provided? Lunch will be provided after the clinic\, but it’s a good idea to bring your own water.\nWho will supervise the event? Our experienced volunteers and coaches will lead and supervise all activities.\nWhat safety measures are in place? We prioritize safety\, with protocols in place to ensure a safe and fun experience.\nHow do I sign up or volunteer? DESCRIPTION:This two-session program combines our Financial Literacy and HR Employment Readiness Trainings.\n\n\nCompletion of both sessions qualifies you to apply for the FYF Empower scholarship. \n  \nThe Foundations for Your Future series is designed to equip foster youth ages 13-23 with the knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive financially and professionally. Over two engaging sessions\, participants will explore key topics such as budgeting\, saving\, investing basics\, resume building\, job interview preparation\, and more.
